Meet Aglaonema Siam Jade Variegated
A luminous tropical houseplant with jade-green leaves brushed in creamy variegation. In bright, filtered light, the marbling stays crisp while the plant forms a tidy, self-heading clump—an easy, elegant accent for shelves, consoles, or bedside corners.
Standout Traits
- Botanical name: Aglaonema ‘Siam Jade Variegated’
- Growth habit: Naturally compact self-header; balanced, symmetrical canopy
- Leaf features: Jade lamina with cream/chartreuse marbling and soft gloss
- Mature size: ~35–55 cm (14–22 in) indoors
- Light: Bright–indirect; tolerates medium light with softer contrast
- Pets: Keep out of reach
Style Notes
- Variegated jade tones pair beautifully with neutral pots (stone, sand, matte white).
- Works as a calm focal point or a bright counterpoint beside darker aroids.
- Compact footprint = perfect for desks and narrow shelves.
Care at a Glance
- Water: Allow the top 2–3 cm (¾–1 in) of mix to dry; avoid soggy medium.
- Environment: Comfortable indoor humidity (around 50–70% RH), 18–29 °C (65–85 °F).
- Root Comforts: Airy aroid blend—bark, perlite/pumice, coco, plus a light touch of sphagnum.
- Feeding: Mild, balanced fertilizer at ¼–½ strength during active growth.
- Light Tips: Soft, filtered light keeps the cream variegation vivid without scorch.
Settle-In Tips
- Place in bright, dappled light and increase intensity gradually.
- Hold repotting for 2–3 weeks so roots can establish.
- Minor shipping scuffs are normal; new leaves will show the best definition and sheen.

Full of everything you want
Format: Hardcover
I read this book in two sittings. Ate it up like the delicious Carolina meal that it is. It's only the second MG witch book I have experienced since I am a big fan of contemporary realism. BUT I LOOOOOVED it. What a homer of a debut. We are all Katybird and Delpha, in so many ways. And my lord, it was like reading Tori Amos' childhood soul in some ways (I happen to know too much about her). What a gift to have read this book. Please give it as a gift to ever middle grader you know. Stunning. Well paced, and full of heart and grit.
I look forward to more books from Ash. I believe anything they write will be worth my time. I imagine they can write a powerful YA, in addition to MG. Their style lends itself to capturing humanity on many levels. Big fan!

Best danged zombie romps I've ever read!
Format: Hardcover
This is one of the best danged zombie romps I've ever read! From the moment I saw its gorgeous, whimsical cover, I was dying to read Cattywampus! And it. Is. Brilliant. From the animated outhouse to the fascinating folksy setting and the major Elphie/Galinda vibes from MCs Delpha and Katybird, I fell for this story so hard.
This is one of my favorite Roaring 20s debuts by far. I never tire of the magic of true friendship! (Or enemies-to-frenemies-to-besties!)

🌲 Small-town magic
2️⃣ POV
📍 A holler in rural North Carolina
Cattywampus follows Delpha and Katybird, two girls from rival witch families who are forced into close proximity and slowly begin to form an unlikely friendship. As old grudges and local legends surface, both girls must confront family expectations, hidden truths, and what it really means to belong.
This was such a sweet and heartfelt middle grade read. I loved watching Delpha and Katy’s friendship grow, especially given the history between their families. The twist involving Delpha’s father added emotional depth, and the healing that unfolds by the end was really satisfying. Cozy, thoughtful, and grounded in a strong sense of place, this story beautifully balances magic with big feelings and growth.

Sometimes Two Wrongs DO Make A Right!
Format: Hardcover
I devoured this book in a weekend; it's just wonderful. Delpha and Katybird are strong, clever, kick-butt kids with a fantastic circle of caring and colorful characters around them. Cattywampus is a big, spooky, cinematic adventure with its heart in all the right places, and I loved it.
